Hawks Men's Soccer Falls Short at Carroll CC

Story by Phil Marshall

HCC took to the road for the first time in the new season and fell short 6-3 against Carroll Community College.

Hagerstown struck first when Travis Bamfo got an assist from Cleeford Sylne to give the Hawks an early lead.

After that, Carroll scored four consecutive goals to fall behind 4-1 to end the first half.

Early into the 2nd half, HCC struck again to make it 4-2 as Safi Abadir won a ball in the attacking third and beat the keeper with a hard strike to the keepers right side.

HCC would then surrender two more goals midway through the 2nd half.

Late in the going Cleeford Sylne drove to the end line and served a ball across the box on the ground to Safi Abadir who took a touch and struck it into the bottom corner of the goal.

Cleeford Sylne ended with 2 assists while Safi Abadir scored 2 goals.

The Hawks head to Potomac State College of WVU on Thursday where they will wrap up their short road trip.
