Two-Time State Champion Goalkeeper joins the Hawks

HCC is excited to announce the newest recruit to join the program for the 2019 season, Dido Lumu. He is a goalkeeper from Lewiston High School in Lewiston, Maine. Lumu started 19 games his senior year where he had a 0.2 goals against average and 16 shutouts to lead his team to a 18-0-1 record. The season ended with a 1-0 shutout victory in the Maine 1A State Finals. Lewiston finished ranked #21 in the nation in 2018. The 6'5" goalkeeper also helped Lewiston High School win a state title during his junior year, after winning the starting spot midway through the season. The team finished the 2017season 17-1-2, and Lumu contributed 6 shutouts in only 8 games played.


Lumu was selected to the All KVAC team, All regional first team, and was selected as the Lewiston High School Defensive Player of the year. He spent the 2018-2019 club soccer season with Western Maine United.


Dido joins the 2019 recruiting class which includes Washington County recruits Matt Medina, Cody Taylor, Tyson Bellistri, and Travis Bamfo, and Frederick County recruits Anthony Valladarez, and Habraam Gonzalez Escalera.


"As soon as I connected with Dido I was excited for the opportunity to bring him into our program," said Coach CJ. "He is a passionate soccer player, with a great attitude. He just wants to get better every day and continue working."
