Travis Bamfo is the newest recruit to join the Hawks for the upcoming 2019 season. Bamfo is Striker, and Winger from North Hagerstown High School. The forward helped his team to a 13-4 record in his senior season. They went on to win the 3A west section II, and were a 3A West Regional final. Bamfo led the team with 8 goals, and 7 assists in 2018. He scored two of his goals in the 3A West section final win for the Hubs. Bamfo received first team Herald-Mail All Washington County honors for the 2018 season. He was also selected to the All CMC Spires second team.
At the club level, Travis spent the 2018-2019 season with FC Frederick. Where his team were State Semi-Finalists. Prior to his time at FC Frederick, Travis spent 8 seasons with Liverpool FCIA Western, MD. Liverpool. He was a part of the team that appeared in the U.S. Youth Soccer National Championship in 2018. Travis also was a member of the Maryland 3A State 4x200 Championship team, and earned 3rd place in the 200m.
Travis joins a recruiting class that includes fellow Washington County recruits Matt Medina, Cody Taylor, and Tyson Bellistri. They are joined by Frederick County recruits Anthony Valladarez, and Habraam Gonzalez Escalera.
"We've had our eye on Travis over the past few seasons, both in club and high school soccer," says Coach CJ Trammell. "We are excited to have him in the team for this season as he is hardworking and a very talented athlete."
