Versatile defender added for the 2019 season

The Hawks are excited to announce Cody Taylor as the latest recruit to join the program. Cody joins the men's soccer program from Grace Academy where he was a 4-year varsity team member. The defender played all over the field for Grace in his time there making appearances at left back, center back, center midfielder, and striker. Cody scored 20 goals, and added 38 assists in his four seasons with Grace Academy. He received the Grace Academy 2016 coach's award. In 2017, as a junior, Cody received second-team all conference recognition in the Mason Dixon Christian Conference, and received a defensive award for his efforts. The defender followed up his 2017 awards with a first-team all conference selection for the Mason Dixon Christian Conference, and second-team Herald Mail all county selection.

Cody participated in basketball and cross country while at Grace Academy. He was also the SGA Vice President, and an NHS member.

Cody joins a recruiting class that includes Frederick County recruits, Anthony Valladarez, Habraam Gonzalez Escalera, and Anthony Zarate, and Washington County recruit Matt Medina.

"Cody's work rate is unmatched. He has one of the best attitudes we've seen recently. He wants to continue developing his game, and is the ultimate team player," said Coach CJ. "I expect Cody to be an impactful player for us for the next two seasons."
