New York Senior, Ibrahim Doumbia, Commits to Hagerstown C.C.

Hagerstown, Md. - Buisness of Sports School Senior, Ibrahim Doumbia, has recently announced his commitment to the Hagerstown Community College men's soccer team.

Doumbia, a striker and attacking midfielder, plays club in Manhattan for New York Fusion Soccer Club. He has helped his team to a 10-0-2 overall record. In 2017, Doumbia has recorded 11 goals and 8 assists for 30 points. For his efforts, he earned the Top Scorer Award.

"I'm glad and happy to become a Hawk next fall," quoted Doumbia. "This is a new journey for me and my family."

At HCC, Doumbia joins out of state recruits, Alexis Torres from Delaware and Tico Witer from Pennsylvania. Dominique De Oliveria joins Washington County player, Nick Shirey while Walter Saenz is from Anne Arundel County. Frederick County players, Andres Florez-Rico, Alex Medrano and Ab Zelaya team up with Montgomery County players, Santiago Alzate, DJ Mamo and Jeison Caballero.

"Ibrahim has great size, which contributes to his ability to compete for a starting role in the attack" stated head coach Brandon Rethemeyer. "Through all our conversations with Ibrahim, he is so passionate about joining the Hawks and helping his team meet every goal set forth. We are thrilled to be adding a player with his experience to our reloaded squad."
