Adams, a 6'3 goalkeeper, only played the first six games of his senior season. He was ranked #1 in the county in saves and goals allowed per game. He finished the season with 30 saves, two shutouts, six goals against, and had a 0.86 GAA. In the 2014 season his team went 9-2-0 and he surrendered only two goals while recording eight shutouts.
Adams participates in club soccer with Williamsport U-19. In 2014, his team went 7-1-0 and tallied four shutouts while currently this season they are 4-1-0 with two shutouts.
At HCC, Adams will suit up with former teammate, Caden Keplinger. Andrew Owens is the other Washington County committed recruit for the 2016 season. Asongwe McCho-Nji Jr. , Benny Brankoff and Jaime Quansah come from the Baltimore area, while the trio, joins West Virgina recruits Josh Fitzwater and Ricardo Merino. The Hawks have also received commitments from Montgomery County players, Azaria Honsou and Angel Osegueda, along with Frederick resident Fredy Barerra.
"Having graduated our two-year starting goalkeeper, it was pivotal for us to bring in talent to compete with returner, Tim Horning," quoted head coach Brandon Rethemeyer. "Grant has tremendous size and athletic ability that makes him a good shot stopper."
