Hawks Hoops Sweep The Night Over Anne Arundel CC

The Hawks Men's and Women's team claimed victory over Anne Arundel CC Monday night. 

Men's Basketball: Hagerstown CC: 86 Anne Arundel CC: 77

The Hawks starting five were one point away from all scoring in double figures on the night. A back and forth affair ended in the Hawks favor after contributions from Rodney Black with 23 points and four rebounds. Dwight Felton had 15 points, two rebounds and two steals. Malik Moore scored 12 points and seven rebounds. Kyshon Tate recorded 11 points and three rebounds. Fifth starter Tyron Hollis scored nine points, three rebounds and four assists. The Hawks improve their record to 4-3 and will participate in the Jim Brown Classic on their home court Saturday November 30 against Monroe College at 1:00PM and Sunday December 1 at 3:00PM against County College of Morris.


Women's Basketball: Hagerstown CC: 60 Anne Arundel: 46

Briana Alongi had a season high with 18 points and 5 steals. Alongi helped keep the Hawks ahead throughout the first half scoring 11 points off of 3 three pointers which led to a 26-20 halftime advantage for the Hawks. Alexis Harris and Sadavia Felder followed up the scoring with 12 and nine points respectively.  The Hawks did a good job on the boards with Harris, Felder and Hiyanna Keller each pulling down double digit rebounds. The Lady Hawks are in action again Monday, December 2 at Northern Virginia CC in Annandale at 5:00PM.
