Hawks Baseball & Softball look to May 4th Region Tournament Starts

Coming off of winning regular seasons, Hawks Baseball and Softball look towards the weekend of May 3rd with excitement and anticipation.

For Baseball, the Region 20 DI tournament, hosted by Potomac State College of WVU, May 4th - 5th, caps off a successful 35-16 overall season record, 19-5 in conference, and 1-3 in Region 20 division play.  With a team batting average of .296, slugging percentage of .397, and 12 team home runs, the Hawks face the Catamounts of Potomac State on Saturday, May 4, 2019 starting at 11:00 a.m.  The winner of the region opener plays the Harford Fighting Owls, Saturday, at 2:00 p.m.  Round two games will begin at 11:00 a.m. on Sunday, May 5th.

Softball hosts a Region 20 DII play-in doubleheader set for Saturday, May 4th, playing the Anne Arundel Riverhawks, game time 12:00 p.m. and 2:00 p.m.  The Hawks, 31-8, 16-2 in conference, coming off the first 30 win season since 2006, hold a team batting average of .381, slugging percentage of .523 with 17 team home runs.  WIth success on the field on Friday, the Hawks will move on to the region final tournament, held at CCBC Catonsville May 9th - 11th.
