HCC dominates in baseball sweep

Hagerstown Community College swept visiting Eastern Mennonite in a doubleheader Sunday.

In the opener, Colby Smith (3-0) pitched a shutout for the Hawks (25-9), allowing six hits while striking out four in seven innings.

Justin Smith led the offense with three hits and two RBIs, while Matt Kline had two hits and two RBIs, Sinjin Shoop had two hits and an RBI, Geraghty Showe had two hits and Nick Stegman had a three-run double.

In the second game, Jordan Tapley pitched five innings for the win. Justin Smith had two hits and two RBIs, Hunter Martin had two hits and an RBI and Brandon Toloso and Shoop each added two hits
