FREDERICK, Md. — Hagerstown Community College scored seven runs in the last two innings to complete a season sweep of Frederick with a 9-5 victory Tuesday.
The Hawks trailed 5-2 before Dylan Stouffer hit a two-run homer in the eighth to close the gap to 5-4. HCC scored five more runs in the ninth, keyed by Tristan Douglas’ pinch-hit, two-run single, followed by Creighton Farrell’s two-run double.
Farrell finished with two hits and two RBIs, Nick Goode and Garrett Spinks had three hits and an RBI each and Derrick Snider and Justin Smith combined for three innings of hitless relief with six strikeouts for the Hawks (22-10).
HCC defeated Frederick 10-9 on March 23.
